South Main Place is a maintenance free community. Your nominal HOA fees will be applied to the common areas, street lights and landscaping for each homesite.
The city of Simpsonville has authorized this to be a gated community. This will not be part of the developer's plan. It will need to be voted on by the residence after the neighborhood is completed and will most likely result in an assessment for each household if approved.
